Date[1740]
DescriptionMap of the old course of the River Dee and the line of the new navigation from the boundaries of Chester City to Wepre windmill. The original map was certified by the jurors (names recorded) of the Court Leet of the Manor of Hawarden on 19 July 1740, and was surveyed by Thomas Badeslade and Josiah Boydell. It records the boundary between the White Sands and Saltney Marsh, names of gutters crossing the navigation, landmarks including Puddington Hall, Shotwick Church and Castle, as well as "a Pear Tree at Blacon Point" and a "A Tree in Puddington Meadow" which both constituted boundary markers for the Manor of Hawarden.
