| Description | Between 1607 and 1627, with one entry for 1645, two volumes were kept to record such information as orders relating to the mayors' arbitration in disputes between companies or guilds and their members; memoranda of declarations relating to apprenticeship; and admissions to the freedom. Business arising from suits in the city courts is also recorded, for example orders relating to disputes over property; recognizances relating to the appearance of parties and the performance of contracts; and the methods of paying debts. Most entries are signed by the mayor and parties involved. |
