TitleOrder re inquiry into debts; re release of prisoner

DescriptionThe Mayor inquires into the amount of the City's debts; Dutton explains that they owe £80 to a Mr. William Cowper of London, and at least a further £80 to himself. A new body of auditors is appointed to investigate, not only Dutton's expenses in London, but his expenditure during the whole period of his Mayoralty.
The new regulations concerning the weekly shot (see p. ZA/B/1/132 above) are cancelled.
Ralph Dodd, shearman, in prison on writs of "copias ad satisfaciend" to be released on account of his poverty; the late Mayor, who, with the late Sheriffs, claim half of the forfeitures, gives his individual assent.
