Applications considered from Henry Jones, John Ridley and Arthur Bennet, freemen, and John Tailer, for the post of sergeant of the peace; the latter's application, also his request for admission, rejected; nothing further done.
The petition of Rowland Barnes, mercer, to be exempt for the next ten years from the position of Common Councilman, paying a fine of £8, accepted; the exemption to be sealed with the common seal. Fulk Aldersay is to be permanently exempt, paying a fine of £10. (reference to his "yeres and welth").
