Description	Copy of letter, 12 Apr 1584, from the Mayor etc. to [Mr. Carlile - see f. 194.]. In reply to his letter, delivered by a Mr. Steventon, regret that they cannot afford to contribute towards his proposed voyage to America. At the same Assembly. Robert Powell, paver of Shrewsbury, to be employed to keep the paving of the City permanently in repair.
