DescriptionA patent, granting Proby his annuity, has been received from Derby, with instructions to seal it with the common seal; but, as no mention is made of services to be rendered by Proby, resolved not to seal it, and Derby to be informed; a reply also to be sent to a supporting letter from Sir Thomas, Henage.
(ZA/B/1/229) Former Sheriffs' petition that the expenses of suits against them commenced in the courts of Chancery and Exchequer at London, for actions done by them in their official capacity, be met by the City; (see f. ZA/B/1/227 above); they are to submit accounts of their expenses to auditors.
The petitions of the Sword and Mace-beareres for the restoration of their fees on the admission of strangers, and of them and the Sergeants for toll on all grain sold by non-free citizens, are deferred.
William Colbecke, singing man, to be admitted, paying 5 marks, at the request of Dean Nutter.
