Title	Annullment of order; election; petition
Date	5 Nov 1590
Description	A former order, limiting choice of Aldermen to Sheriff Peers, contrary to the terms of the Charter, is annulled. Election of Fulk Aldersay, merchant, (who is not even a Councilman) as Alderman, in place of William Hamnet. Edward Batho of Congleton, clothier, petitions to be free and to have the House of Correction; voting is confused, no final decision given. (admitted April, 1592, see F/R.).
