DescriptionMay 25th. Election of John Aldersay, merchant, as Councilman in place of Poter Maynwaringe, merchant.
Watfild paving still being in decay (the paver having died in the meantime), Thomas Lyniall and John Ratclif are instructed to interview the widow, and, if they cannot obtain security from her for the repair of the paving, to see about the appointment of a new paver.
William Seale, mariner, whose father was admitted after his own birth, to be admitted paying 40/-.
The petitions for admission of Thomas Asmore, ostler, Thomas Powell and Richard Trenele are rejected, and of James Downam is deferred.
July 24th. At the request of the Dean and Chapter, one John Fowles to have a lease for one hundred years of a tithe barn, recently built by him in Chester field, for an annual rent of 20d.
