DescriptionElection of Thomas Ryvington, brewer, as Councilman in place of John Robinson, dyer.
The petitions of Edward Streete and Richard Peereson, tailors, for admission, are deferred until they have obtained the goodwill of the Tailors.
Arrat Watt, housewright, to be admitted paying 40/-.
The petition of John Burne to be common broker to the City, is rejected; not considered necessary.
Aldersay and Newall report on the serious decay of the new haven; resolved that all primage paid for the last ten years be handed over for repair work, (ZA/B/1/252v) and that the overseers engage Thomas Lewes, mason, or some other qualified person. The crane is also to be repaired.
Edward Dutton has submitted his accounts for repair work in Northgate Street; the other highway overseers are reminded to submit theirs.
Mr. Fulk Aldersay to be Alderman of Northgate ward, in place of the Recorder, who has recently moved out of the City.
