Rehearses that, under the terms of Robert Offley's will, 20/- was to be spent each year on a banquet in the Pentice, on the occasion of the reading of his will, and of the receiving of the names of the young men having the loans, and of their sureties. This Assembly was called, the banquet held, and the will etc. read accordingly; enquiry to be made concerning the death of one of the young men, and the impoverishment of another. June 27th. Peter Drinkwater, ironmonger, chosen by lot to have the Offley loan left vacant by the death of the original holder. The petition rejected of Robert Brock of Upton, gentleman., for an exchange of land with the City. Rauf Rathburne, draper, to have a second loan from the Worsley bequest.
