Date12 Dec 1596
DescriptionElection of Robert Cowper, baker, and William Maninge, innkeeper, as Councilmen in place of the last year's Sheriffs.
The last year's Leevelookers are fined £5 each for failing to provide the customary wine at one of the four yearly feasts, and are also to find between them 20/- for the repair of the chimes of St. Peter's. Thomas Wright, who has not been Leevelooker, chosen Sheriff on the death of Edward Bennet, to pay a fine of £10.
