Title	Note of the events whereby Chester managed to avoid becoming a sanctuary town
Date	10 Jul 1542
Description	(Hugh Aldersaye, Mayor.). A deputation to the King, led by the Mayor and Alderman Fulk Dutton, obtained the voiding of an Act of Parliament whereby the sanctuary was transferred from Manchester to Chester, and its retransference to Stafford.
