Description(John Walley, Mayor.).
Should the Keeper of the Northgate prison die in office, his widow to depart from the prison house within fifteen days.
Also resolved that a new Common Hall be built in Northgate Street, on the site of St. Nicholas' Chapel, and that the profits from a recent bargain be devoted to the work. The Mayor, as head of the Occupation of Ironmongers, presents three tons of iron, valued at £24, towards the costs, and arranges for the work to start immediately.
