Description | A portion of Sir Thomas White's money, namely a loan of £25 for ten years, interest-free, was granted to Thomas Walker the younger, clothworker. Thomas Ashton, innholder, petitioned for a lease for three lives and twenty-one years of a parcel of waste ground belonging to the City lying at Cowlane end near the Gorse Stacks; he wished to build there. It was ordered that the place should be viewed by the Treasurers and four Justices of the Peace who should report to the next Assembly. |
