DescriptionRichard Thomason, beer-brewer, chosen one of Vernon's almsmen in the place of Richard Shone, deceased.
It was ordered that if Thomas Gamull, ironmonger, or any other persons, should commence any action in any foreign court against the collectors for levying the arrears of the royal aid and further supply, the same should be made a City cause.
The following persons were to bring in their plate of the usual value, due to the City upon their admission to office, within the next two weeks: Gawen Hudson, John Maddock and Thomas Simpson, Aldermen, and Valentine Short, John Johnson, Benjamin Crutchley, Edward Oulton, George Mainwaring, Ralph Hocknill and Robert Denteth, Councilmen.
The Mayor was authorized to exchange four old broken bowls of the City plate for such new pieces of plate as he should think fit. The names of the donors of the old plate were to be engraved on the new.
It was ordered that the suit commenced by John Hough, ironmonger, against Nathaniel Williamson and Peter Edwards, lately Leavelookers, should be made a City cause.
(ZA/B/2/174) James Gualter, joiner, was to have a lease for three lives of a piece of waste land in Cow lane near widow Bromhall's house at a yearly rent of 20s.
