Description	William Earl of Derby was unanimously nominated successor to his late father, Charles Earl of Derby, in the office of Alderman. Isaac Swift, merchant, elected Councilman in the stead of Thomas Ashton, Sheriff-peer, deceased. He took the oaths and subscribed the declaration.
