DescriptionIt was ordered that the Treasurers should pay Randle Hulme, painter, £20 in full satisfaction of his disbursements about "the Gyants" and other pageants for the Midsummer Show intended to have been observed in 1677, and also in recompense of all his other demands concerning the Show.
Thomas Gibbons, feltmaker, was granted liberty to come forth streetward with his shop, so that it was even with Thomas Wright's, for a fine of 30s. and the former yearly rent of 5s.
John Maddock, Alderman, petitioned for a fee-farm of a void piece of ground from the further end of Thomas Hall's barn leading towards Boughton, upon the right side of the causey there. Randle Oulton and William Wilson, Aldermen and Justices, were to view the ground.
Thomas Hesketh of Rufford, esq., brother-in-law to Sir Thomas Grosvenor, bart., was to be admitted to the freedom.
