DescriptionAgreement "that wee shall all joyne together in a mutuall Associacion for the defence of this Citty against all Forces whatsoever that shall come in any hostile manner for to invade this Citty or to disturbe the peace thereof".
Order that the citizens and inhabitants should be moved to contribute towards the provision of arms and ammunition, the making of outworks and the planting of ordnance for the City's defence. Appointment of seven overseers of this work and four collectors of contribution monies.
Order that thirty or forty pounds should be disbursed by the Treasurers, at the discretion of the Mayor and Overseers, for providing arms and ammunition and making outworks, until an assessment should be levied for this purpose, from which this sum would be repaid to the Treasury.
