TitleCity's messengers to the King

DescriptionIt was agreed that two able citizens should be sent to Oxford to solicit the King concerning the affairs of Chester and to inform him of the state of the City. Mr. Charles Walley, Alderman, and Mr. Sheriff Johnson were chosen as the City's messengers.
