| Description | Copy of an Ordinance of Parliament of 14th March, 1647[/8] declaring that Robert Wright, Alderman, who was elected Mayor on October 15th last, and William Wright and Richard Minshull, elected Sheriffs then, should hold these offices for the present year. The Mayor and Sheriffs should take their oaths from Christopher Blease, Randle Holme and Thomas Aldersey, Aldermen, or any one of them, and proceed to the further choice of other officers in the accustomed manner. |
