Description | Draft petition to Parliament on behalf of the Company of Clothworkers and Walkers of Chester, whose trade depends on certain Fullers' or Walkers' mills on the Dee, at the higher end of a stone causey leading to the malt and corn mills. In the time of the 'Leager' against the City the Fullers' Mills were burnt down by the Parliament's soldiers. The Company cannot subsist without the mills, which were also very beneficial to the City and country. [This document was found among miscellaneous Assembly papers and so was transferred here] |
