DescriptionPetition of Raph Hampden of Chester, mariner, stating that both he and his father before him had served the City with their vessel, which about three weeks ago when fetching coals from Mostyn to Chester was overthrown in a tempest. He asked that the several companies in the City commiserate his condition and extend their bounty towards him for the repair of his vessel. Note that the petition was rejected.
