Description | Petition of Robert Parkes, clothier, stating that after receiving £25 of the City's money, he suffered great losses in the City by them that then had the government, both by firing of his house and the imposition of quarter on promise of payment to the value of £20 and more. He, with his wife and children, was expelled from the City and his whole estate, valued at more than £40, was seized. He asks for an extension of the loan and that he may repay it by three-yearly or five-yearly payments.
