DescriptionPetition of John Wilding, Yeoman of the Pentice, stating that he and his father before him held this office for many years and were free of the City. He has a small allowance of 4 nobles annually from the salt Marketers in lieu of their standings, accommodating the place for them and daily keeping it clean. As there is an allowance on their orders from the Beasts Market of one penny per beast to the Officer to whose care it is committed, he asks that he may be granted 1d allowance for every load of Salt from the seller.
