Description | Petition of Anne, wife of John ap Ellis stating that she was born and brought up in the City and John Dob, her late father and many of his ancestors were freemen. The house in which she and her mother heretofore lived in Handbridge had been burned in the late wars and she has nowhere to live. She asks that she and her husband may make one bay of building near the house of Henry Grey beyond the Rocke at Hough greene, (not being part of the City commons), at a yearly rent. |
