Description | Petition of William Garratt, (addressed to Peter Leigh and altered to Richard Mynshull) stating that Hugh Leigh, Alderman, his late uncle, deceased, for many years held a piece of waste ground, enclosed to a certain close called the Justing Crofte by a mudwall in the time of the late war, at yearly rent of 2s. 8d. p. a. By Assembly order about two years ago half of the land was taken away. He has had the expense of building a new fence and desires that he may enjoy the land at a rent determined by two or three members of the House on viewing the same. Note: 'Setled already by order of this house.' |
