Description | Petition of William Whittingham, gentleman, giving thanks for his admission to the freedom. He has become suitor to the Company of Innholders and had the Aldermen's consent and the greater part of the Company and attended four of their meetings and is ready to pay his fine, yet some of the company have forgotten their promises and 'shutt ye doore not only agt your peticioner but agt all ye Freemen of this City.' He asks an order for his relief. Note of voting - 'whether the Peticioner shalbe admitted by the company to be free--- paying 40s.' The motion passed. |
