DescriptionPetition of Robert Meacock, upholsterer, stating that he served seven years apprenticeship to his trade and is a freeman of the Company of Merchant Taylors in the City of London. He was born at Upton near the City and has lived in and near the City for twenty years. When the City was a garrison for his late Majesty, he served as an officer under Lord Byron's command in Colonel Disne's Regiment, and never deserted his royal interest. He asks to be admitted a freeman. Note of voting and that he was to be free paying £3.
