DescriptionPetition of William Oldham, that he served the King in the late wars and has resided in the City for above 20 years. He engaged in the cause with Sir George Booth (now Lord Delamer) wherein this City was so deeply concerned. He was wounded and taken prisoner. He taught dancing. As he and his wife are growing old, he asks to be admitted to the freedom. Note of voting. He was to be free paying 40s.
