DescriptionPetition of William Selby, butcher, stating that having been a considerable tradesman and good victualler of the City, he has lately suffered great losses, etc. and is so disabled from following his employment as formerly. He desires to erect a 'showering' at the end of the Common Hall of the City adjoining the stairs leading up to the hall on land 7 yards long by 2 yards, heretofore a midding place, to sell meat. Note: rejected.
