Flint, gentleman to Thomas Williams of Chester, sadler, of a messuage and tenement on the W. side of St. John's Lane in Chester, now or late in the tenure of John Moyle of Chester, draper, with 2 gardens and 1 orchard, part of which orchard was and is part of the town ditch under the wall of the city, on the backside of the messuage extending upwards to the city walls; also another messuage and tenement with a backside and garden in the same lane adjoining the first, now in the tenure of Thomas Williams of Chester, glover; also a messuage and tenement on the E. side of the said lane, now or late in the tenure of George Calley, a garden adjoining in the holding of the same on the N. side of the messuage and extending to St. John's lane, a garden in the occupation of William Young, shoemaker, abutting on the W. to the said gardens and on the E. to an orchard now or late in the occupation of Richard Newhall of Chester, gentleman, also one other messuage and tenement on the S. side of Foregate Street adjoining a messuage called the Sign of the Crowe at the W. side of the said messuage, now or late in the tenure of William Cotgrave of Chester, gentleman Consideration: £160.
