Administrative HistoryChester College Association succeeded Chester College Club which had been founded in 1882. (Chester College and the Training of Teachers, John L. Bradbury, 1975, p.148, Ref 942,714 370.73). The new constitution was approved at the Annual General Meeting 11 September 1971. The Association aimed to unite all past and present members of Chester College, to promote social and professional partnership among members, give help and advice and to further the interests of Chester College. Membership consisted of past and present students and lecturers. Officers of the Association included the Principal and Deputy Principal of the College and the editors of `Collegian', the College magazine. (Collegian, vol.LXXXV, 1972, p.53, Ref CR86A/187-205)
