| Description | The scrap-book consists of one hundred and forty-six pages with programmes of concerts performed by the Chester Musical Society, 1883-1901, and annual reports of the Society, 1884-1900, pasted in. There are also manuscript notes recording the time a performance lasted, numbers present at each concert, and which items were encored. This scrap book is similar in character to material in the collection of Dr. J.C. Bridge in the collections of the Chester Archaeological Society, and from a comparison of the handwriting of items, with the handwriting of items in the Dr. J.C. Bridge collection it seems likely that this scrap-book was compiled by Bridge himself. |
