Administrative History	A circular from the Ministry of Health in 1941 established nurseries for the children of women engaged in war work. This nursery was transferred to Chester County Borough Council in 1946. The log book records that before April 1946, when it was taken over as a school by the Chester Education Committee, it was a war time Nursery run by the Ministry of Health. The school closed in August 1953 `as the lease for the ground cannot be renewed'.
