Administrative History | Formed in 1974 from part of the South East Cheshire division [see QPSe], including the following places: Alsager, Arclid, Betchton, Bradwall, Brereton, Church Lawton, Congleton, Cranage, Goostrey, Hassall, Holmes Chapel, Hulme Walfield, Middlewich, Moreton cum Alcumlow, Moston (nr. Sandbach), Newbold Astbury, Odd Rode, Sandbach, Smallwood, Somerford, Somerford Booths, Swettenham and Twemlow.
Congleton petty sessional division was abolished in 1988 to become part of the new South Cheshire division [see QPSc]. |
