DescriptionThe records largely consist of the minutes and associated papers and presentations created as part of the work of the programme board and steering groups which oversaw the Transforming Cheshire programme. There are also records relating to the business case developed and the Design Authority which had an advisory and quality control function within the programme.

Administrative HistoryTransforming Cheshire was a major organisational change programme which aimed to improve the effectiveness of the County Council through 'improving customer service, improving efficiency, empowering staff and being locally responsive, visible and accessible'. The programme was abandoned in 2009 with the abolition of the County Council.
