Rev. John Edward Hibbert Binney was born in 1862 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The 1881 UK Census shows him as a scholar in Winchester College, Winchester, and he got a degree at Oxford. He married Beatrice E. L. Almond in 1818, when he was 25 and she was 26. His residence at time of marriage was Lichfield, England, and hers was Halifax, Nova Scotia.
His brother, William Hibbert Ninney was vicar of St Helen's Witton. His father, Right Rev Hibbert Binney was 4th bishop of Nova Scotia (1819-1887) |
