TitleWILL, CODICILS (16. Oct. 1793, 29. Nov. 1803. 9. June 1804) & PROBATE (14. May 1812) of Thomas Poole of Finney Green, par. Keel (Co. Staff.), gentleman; appoints all his messuages, farms, lands, mines, rents and heredits. in WESTON, par. Wybunbury, in the parish of KEEL and in BETLEY and WALSALL (Co. Staff.) to Ellison Poole of Weston, gentleman, and Joseph Badmore of Scott Hey, par. Keel, yeoman, to the use of William Wright of Church Eaton (Co. Staff.), clerk, and John Plant of Betley (Co. Staff.), gentleman, for a term of 500 years from his decease, on the trusts hereafter mentioned, and thereafter to the use of his eldest son John Poole and his heirs, remainder to his son James Poole and his heirs, remainder to his son Richard Poole and his heirs, remainder to his son Edward Rockett Poole and his heirs, remainder to every other son/s successively and their heirs, remainder to daughter/s and their heirs, remainder to his own right heirs; appoints that the sd. term of 500 years is on trust to permit his mother Abigail Poole to receive an annuity of £6 and for payment of his debts and portions for his younger children, as specified, the term to be void when trusts discharged.
Appoints the sd. William Wright and John Plant executors. 1st codicil: charges estates with the payment of £1,900 in place of £1,500 for the benefit of his younger children, in the proportions specified; nominates Isaac Perry of Doddington, gentleman, and Thomas Peak of Keele, gentleman, as trustees in place of Ellison Poole and Joseph Radmore, and Thomas Breck of Keele, gentleman, and Rev. John Wright of Newcastle under Lyme (Co. Staff.), clerk, as trustees and executors in place of William Wright and John Plant.
2nd codicil: alters legacies to be paid to his younger children, following the decease of his 2 sons Edward Rockett Poole and William Poole.
3rd codicil: gives directions concerning a sum bequeathed to his daughter Sarah wife of George Burroughs. Paper.
