TitleAPPOINTMENT & CONVEYANCE (attested copy, 7. Apr. 1843), between 1) Rev. Henry Delves Broughton the elder of Broughton Hall (Co. Staff), clerk and 2) Henry Delves Broughton the younger of Broughton Hall aforesaid, Esq., eldest son of the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the elder; whereby the sd. parties appoint that the Manor of CHAPEL & HILL CHORLTON (Co. Staff.) with messuages and lands in CHORLTON (named) shall be, subject to an annuity of £450 limited to Mary wife of the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the elder, to the use of the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the elder and his assigns for life and after his decease to such uses as the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the younger shall appoint; and the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the elder releases to the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the younger --- a messuage or Inn and farm in CHORLTON (Co. Staff.) called Stableford Inn and farm, with other messuages and lands in CHORLTON (named), to hold, subject to the recited securities and indemnities, to the use of Henry Delves Broughton the elder for life and after his decease to such uses as Henry Delves Broughton the younger shall appoint, and the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the elder assigns to the sd. Henry Delves Broughton the younger the reversionary sum of £10,500 secured by mortgage on the Manors of BASFORD, SHAVINGTON and BUERTON as above (DDB/D/18 and 19), subject to the securities and indemnities so far as they affect the sd. sum and premises.
