TitleWILL & LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION (3. Jan. 1777) of the goods unadministered of Sir Brian Broughton Delves of Broughton (Co. Staff.), St.; devises to his wife all the manors, messuages etc: in CO. HANTS. for the purchase whereof he has already contracted or the whole money arising from the sale of all his real estates in CO. LINCOLN and such further sums as necessary for enabling her to complete such purchases; devises to Edward Kynaston of Hardwick (Co. Shropshire), Esq. and John Chambre of Petton (same Co.), Esq., all his manors, messuages etc: in the Counties of STAFFORD and CHESTER to the intent that Charles Shrimpton of Upper Clatford (Co. Hants.) may have and receive for life one annual rent of £20 and subject thereto to the use of his brother Thomas Delves Esq. for life, remainder to his 1st and other sons successively in tail male, remainder to the testator's cousin John Broughton, late Major and Commandant of H.M. 100th Regiment of Foot, his heirs and assigns for ever; directs that his brother and his heirs male shall after his decease assume the surname of Broughton only and relinquish the surname of Delves; grants legacies to his sd. cousin Major John Broughton and to his brother in law Noel Hill.
