TitlePRE-NUPTIAL SETTLEMENT between 1) Sir Thomas Broughton of Broughton (Co. Staff.), Bt., brother and heir of Sir Brian Broughton Delves, late of Broughton aforesd. Bt. deceased. 2) John Wicker of Horsham (Co. Sussex), Esq. and Mary Wicker spinster, aged 17, daughter and only child of the sd. John Wicker by Charlotte Wicker his wife. 3) Charles Goring of Wiston (Co. Sussex), Esq. and Edward Woodcock of Lincolns Inn (Co. Middlesex), Esq.; whereby in consideration of the intended marriage between the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton and the sd. Mary Wicker and of the portion of £12,000, the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton covenants with 3) to appoint to the use of the sd. Mary Wicker for life one annuity of £1,000 to be charged on premises in Co. Stafford as above (no. DDB/E/9) and on the Manors etc: in Co. Chester devised by the will of the sd. Sir Brian Broughton Delves to the uses specified or so much of the premises as shall produce an annual rent of £1,500 to become pavable to the sd. Mary Wicker from the decease of the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton, and to charge the sd. premises as further specified.
