TitleDEED OF COVENANT between 1) Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton of Doddington Hall, Bt. 2) John Delves Broughton of Broughton Hall (Co. Staff.), Lt. Col. and now eldest son and heir apparent of the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton, and Elizabeth wife of the sd. John Delves Broughton. 3) Henry Delves Broughton of Doddington Hall Esq., now 2nd son of the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton. 4) Thomas Delves Broughton of Doddington Hall, now 3rd son of the sd. Sir Thomas Broughton. 5) John Egerton of Oulton Park, Esq. and Rev. Robert Hill of Hough, clerk; whereby 1) 3) and 4) covenant with 5) to settle on the sd. Mrs. Elizabeth Broughton an annuity of £300 out of the family estates in addition to her present jointure in the event of her husband the sd. Col. Broughton dying in the sd. Sir Thomas' lifetime leaving her surviving, determinable as specified, and whereby the sd. Col. Broughton also covenants if he succeeds to the Estates and his sd. wife is then living to settle upon her an annuity not less than £300 in addition to her present jointure. Parchment.
