Description | Award by John Wurth of Tederyngton [Tytherington] (died 1517) and Ser Rycharde Smythe vicar' of Prestbere [Prestbury] (1478-1512), arbitrators in a dispute between 1. Roger Downes (1465-1528) and 2. Thomas Tederyngton, put to arbitration "befor my lorde Prynoe Councell in thexchequer' of Chestr", concerning a parcel of land said by Roger to be in the township of Bolyngton [Bollington] and by Thomas to be in the township of Tederyngton [Tytherington] certified by arbitrators after due inquiry to lie within the town of Bolyngton [Bollington] and not in Tederyngton [Tytherington], and to have been held by the ancestors of Roger time out of mind in their demesne as parcell of the Shepynstedes in Bolyngton [Bollington], for which they have paid tythe & mise with the said town.
