Executors: Reginald Downes, Emmote Downes wife of Robert, and Elena Downes daughter of Robert.

Supervisor: Peter Legh Kt.

Bequests: body to be buried in the Parish Church of Prestbur' [Prestbury], the best animal as a mortuary (herriott), a cow in calf to the service of The Blessed Mary of Prestbur' [Prestbury], a cow to Emmote Bradley to see his body decently buried, residue after payment of debts by them, to Emmote his wife and Elena his daughter. Memoranda: that the testator had received £5 from Raynold Legh of the blake broke for which Raynold had received xiiii without "wrytyng nor seall" (In English): and that there were debts upon the estate viz - Geoffrey Downes £6, John Wetenall 25 marks and 1 year's maintenance, Master Alexander Barlow 20s., John Andrew 3s., William Jaimy 3s.3d., to the service of the Blessed Peter of Stokport [Stockport] 18d., John Worth son of John Worth 13s., the Chapel of Pott [Pott Shrigley] one cow worth 10s.
