Jurors: Thomas earl of Derbi' [Derby] lord Stanley, steward; John Sutton; Thomas Lyuersegge; Richard Dounes of Ouerton [Overton]; Reginald Oldefeld; Adam Birkheued clerk of court. Pledge for Fine: Richard Dounes of Ouerton [Overton] and John Pot of Pott [Pott Shrigley]. Surrender and Admittance (Fine 2s.) into a close of pasture lying next to the palings ("palusia" = pilatium, palitium, palatium? - a plural form meaning the palings round a park) of Swanneshogh in the town of Hurdesfeld [Hurdsfield] in the afsd. forest, value 12d. per annum. Latin Mark: Z. c. 3. Hurdesfyld 20.H.7. N.B. the "palusia" at Swanneshogh is probably Swanscoe Park.
