Warrant for the Surrender into the hand of the king as Lord of Maco' of lands (specified infra) held by party 1 with Geoffrey Downes and others now desd by vitrue of Copy of Court Roll under the seal of office of the Steward of Macc' [Macclesfield], to lead to the Admittance of Roger Downes, Peter Legh son and heir of Peter Leigh Esq, Edward Waren son of Lawrence Waren, Edward Fytton of Gowsworth, William Dauenport of Bromhall son of William Dauenport senior, William Dauenport son of William Dauenport senior, Robert Huyde son of Thomas Huyde of Norbury, Robert Huyde son of Lawrence Huyde of Norbury, Thomas Dauenport of Henbury, John Dauenport son of the afsd Thomas, Richard Sutton' senior, Richard Sutton' Junior, Roger Shrygley, Jasper Worth, John Arderon', Ralph Ardern' junior, John Downes, Reginald Dowes, Robert Downes, Richard Downes, Roger Jawdrell, Anthony Shalcrosse, Jude de Stafford, John Dauenport, and William Dauenport sons of the afsd John: to uses viz;-the execution and performance of the last Will and testament of Geoffrey Downes; in lands specified - 14 acres of land in Sutton' [Sutton] which once belonged to Hugh Hurdron, rent 6s.8d.per annum; a tenement and 10 acres of land in Bolynton [Bollington] once held by Richard Talior, rent 5s.8d. per annum; a tenement and 15 acres of land once belonging to Margaret Kyndur; a croft called le Chapell yarde and an orchard with 2 acres of land and a close called Axenholmes in Potshrygley [Pott Shrigley], rent 5s.9½d. per annum; an acre of land in Potshrygley [Pott Shrigley] which one belonged to William Downes of Hawkyshert, rent 4½d. per annum; a cottage once held by Robert Downes with a garden adjacent in Potshrygley [Pott Shrigley] called Oxefurth, and a croft called the Cut Croft and a cottage once held by Robert Downes and Roger Downes, and a cottage in Potshrygley [Pott Shrigley] lately called Erkylhowse, with one acre of land, rent 1½d.; a certain parcel of land with houses standing on it, with a croft etc., in the town of Pot shrygley [Pott Shrigley] once called Pot Hall and now Pot Kechyn', rent 1d.per annum; a close in Ketylsholme [Kettleshulme] lately held by John Wylson chaplain, rent 1d. per annum; a cottage and 5 acres of land in Raynowe [Rainow] once held by Reginald Legh of Mottrum Andrew, rent 10½d.per annum, now held by John Coteler; and a croft called le lees in the town of Pot shrygley [Pott Shrigley] within the forest of Macc' [Macclesfield] lately held by John Pot of Pot [Pott Shrigley] together with lands and tenements between le Colcloghe' and the highway called le Bakes in the afsd town, lately held by the ad John and sometime by James Pot his brother, rent 8d. per annum.
