Feoffment de capitalibus dominis with Warranty contra omnes gentes in pursuance of articles of covenant in an Indenture 30 March 1551 between 1. Roger Bownes and Robert Downes 2. William Davenport Kt, John Ardron, Esq John Ward of Capestorne Gent, and John Davenport Gent; with power of attorney to Richard Thyrlwynde and Ralph Raynshaw clerks for entry and livery of siesin; in all Roger and Robert's lands, messuages, rents etc., and hereditaments in Poynton, Upton, Taksall [Taxal], Stokport [Stockport], Torkington, Adlington and Bredburye [Bredbury] in co. Cestr' [Chester], to be held in trust to uses specified in the afsd Indenture. Endorsed; certificate of livery of seisin 12 May 1551 to John Dauenport late of Chadkyrcke [Chadkirk] Gent for the other feoffees by Richard Thrilwynd and Ralph Renshall chaplains in presence of Humphrey Blacshaw, John Vnwyn, John Blacshaw, Hugh Wood and Henry Barlow.
