Deed of Sale, price 8d., with power of attorney for entry and possession to Humphrey Blackshaghe yeoman and Lawrence Wodde husbandman on behalf of Roger Downes, in a water mill in Pott Shrygeley [Pott Shrigley] called Pott Shrygeley Mylle which Roger Downes had from Edmund Sutton of London Gent.

Warrant for Entry and Possession to effect livery of seisin in a water mill called Pot shriley Mylne lately had from Thomas Denton Esq by Edmund Sutton and to be conveyed to Roger Downes of Shrigley [Pott Shrigley] or his attorney. Endorsed; certificate of livery of seisin to Roger Downes 27 February 1549 witnesses - Lawrence Downes of Ryddyngker Gent, Richard T....wynd chaplain, Ralph Ranshaw chaplain, Robert Smale of Pott Shrygley [Pott Shrigley], Nicholas Andrew miller, Richard Jepson, Henry Barlow of Mottram Andrew [Mottram St. Andrew].
