Grant of £50 rents issueing from a farm called Clumber or Clumber farme in the parish of Wirksopp [Worksop] co. Nottingham lately held by Jonas Pitts, in trust to commence from the death of Thomas Legh (with right of distress to trustees) for the maintenance of "an able fitt and discreet man to bee ab Organist in the parishe churche of Prestbury co. Chester" and "also six fitt persons (men or boyes) to be Queristers in the said parish Church to sing divine service and psalms", which £50 is to be paid to the organist £24 per annum and to the Queristers £26 per annum in proportions as decided by the Vicar of Prestbury, the Organist to teach singing to the choirboys, the vicar of Prestbury to be Rector Chori with power of election to choir subject to approval of trustees appeal therein lying to the Bishop. Provisos, that in case the post of Organist be vacant his salary is to be divided half to the poor of Prestbury and half to the poor of Adlington and Butley co. Chester, and that the annuity of £50 from the issues of Clumber may upon Thomas Legh's conveyance be transferred to the issues of any other his lands of the annual value of £80 in any of the counties of Chester, Lancaster, Darby or Leicester.
