Bargain and Sale for £5, in accordance with provisions of a conditional Bargain and Sale (which this makes absolute), 7 August 1673 between 1. Thomas Watts & Elizabeth his wife, 2. William Watts, as security for consideration of £490 which William undertook to pay to persons specified in a schedule thereto attached and which William undertook to repay on 20 March 1680 at or in the South Porch of the Parish Church of Prestbury, co. Chester, or at the same place where the said Porch then stood, in default of which payment the mortgage was to convert to outright sale on payment of further £5 by 1 May 1680; of 3 closes called the Mottram Hyles part of a place called the Gorsty Hyles, and "the meadow at the doore" lying in Adlington, a messuage in Adlington, a close of 5 acres taken in from the common or waste called Adlington Wood in Adlington.
